Transportation for People With Disabilities

Did you know that if you meet the eligibility criteria, a refund of Ontario Sales Tax (RST) paid is available on certain licensed motor vehicles purchased or leased on a long-term basis (at least 12 months) for the purpose of transporting a person with a permanent physical disability.

Refunds up to a maximum of $2,400 for vans or $1,600 for all other qualifying vehicles are available. The Ministry of Finance will receive applications for the RST rebate that go back as far as four years from the date of your applications.
