Ontario Command Branches promote youth leadership in many ways.
Through our sponsorship of local cadet organizations, our branches provide opportunities for youth to learn more about citizenship, about leadership and about themselves. Through cadet training young people learn about duty, personal discipline, and take part in activities such as survival training, sports, citizenship, team building, cadet summer camps and other leadership building activities.
Ontario Command branches, through our member dues, support the Terry Fox Centre in Ottawa. The Centre brings youth together from all across Canada to take part in activities that help young people from different regions of Canada learn about the ideas, goals and aspirations we share as a nation. Participants also acquire an appreciation of those qualities that make each region in Canada unique. We believe that providing an opportunity for young people to meet each other and share ideas, promotes unity.
