109 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND FEE, Gordon I. Gordon was born in the United Kingdom in 1919. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Flight Sergeant in Canada, England and Europe during World War II. Serving with # 22 Operational Training Units, Bomber Command, Flight Sergeant Fee and his crew departed from Gaydon Airfield in their Wellington Mark 1C but were reported missing/unknown on a mission to Bremen, Germany on the night of September 13-14, 1942. FILDEY, George A. George was born in Cookstown, Ontario on September 9, 1925. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1944 and served on the Victoriaville on the high seas until his discharge in 1946. He was a Service Officer for 15 years ending when his health made it impossible for him to continue. He was euchre co-ordinator for Legion Branch 426, competing locally at many other Legions. George also donated his time for many years in the local schools for Remembrance Day. He was a member of Newmarket Legion Branch 426 for sixty years until he passed away on January 13, 2012. FENTON, Stanley Herbert Stanley was born on May 9, 1924 in Oshawa, Ontario. He enlisted in 1942 and served with the 2nd Division, 4th Brigade of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Egypt and Germany where he was wounded. Stanley was awarded the Victory Medal and the France and Germany Star.
