21 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND ARMSTRONG, William E. “Ted” Ted was born in Collingwood, Ontario on April 14, 1955. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in November 1973 and served with 414 Squadron, 1 CAG, 110FTTU in Baden, West Germany during the Cold War. He was discharged in July 1996. Ted was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration and the Special Service Medal (NATO). ARSENEAULT, William J. William was born on May 13, 1920 in Cochrane, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps in Woodstock on July 31, 1941 and served in Canada during WWII. Discharged on January 30, 1946, Private Arseneault was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He resides in Kapuskasing, Ontario. ARNOTT, Thomas “Tom” Tom was born on July 20, 1923 in Dunfermline, Scotland. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on July 20, 1943 and served as a Rifleman Trooper with the Regina Rifles in Canada, England, France and Holland where he was severely wounded in action. Tom was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-45 Star and the France and Germany Star. He was discharged on July 20, 1945. Tom was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for more than 40 years before he passed away on September 16, 1986.
