141 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HAYDEN (HUNTLEY), Joan B. Joan was born in Port Perry, Ontario on August 5, 1924. She enlisted in the Army on December 7, 1942 and worked in Ottawa as a munitions worker during World War II. She was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Uxbridge Branch 170. Joan passed away on November 23, 2007. HEARN, Dennis Dennis was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1954. He enlisted in the Army (Regular Force) on December 1, 1972 and served with CF Medical Services in Canada, Germany, Israel and Bosnia. He was discharged on September 12, 2012. Dennis received he Peacekeeping, UN DOF, NATO Bosnia, SSM, Silver Jubilee, Golden Jubilee medals, and the Canadian Forces Decoration with two bars. He served with the 8 CH, R22R, NDHQ, HMCS Protecteur, 1st and 2nd Field Ambulance, 1st Canadian Field Hospital and Canadian Forces Base Hospital Valcartier. Dennis is a three-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kanata Branch 638. HEALY, Thomas G. “Tom” Tom was born on February 15, 1929, in Kerwood, Ontario. He enlisted in the 1st Royal Canadian Horse Artillery on November 7, 1950 and served as a Bombardier in Canada and Korea. He was honourably discharged on November 25, 1953. Tom was awarded the Korea Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116 for 46 years before he passed away on February 8, 2000.
