He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in January 1944 and served in defensively equipped merchant ships in the Atlantic during World War II. He was discharged as a stationary engineer in October 1945. He was awarded the Queen Jubilee Medal. Joseph has been a member of Colonel Fred Tilston V.C. Legion Branch 385 for 45 years. DESALVO, Mary A. Mary was born on November 16, 1925. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division in England. She was a member of Simcoe Legion Branch 79 for four years. Mary passed away on May 31, 1991. DENAULT, Lloyd M. Lloyd was born on August 24, 1941 in Iroquois Falls, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1961 and served with the 2nd Battalion, Black Watch in Germany. Private Denault was discharged in 1964 and awarded the Nato Medal. Lloyd has been a member of Cochrane Legion Branch 89 for 26 years.
