He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve in the North Atlantic and volunteered with the Pacific Force during World War II. Clinton was discharged in April 1946. He was a Life Member of Harry Brown V.C. Legion Branch 497 for 51 years where he had served as Past President and received a Meritorious Service Medal for his dedication. Clinton passed away on August 22, 2000. ENGLISH, Lorne R. Lorne was born on July 12, 1926 in Lindsay, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on November 22, 1944 and served with the Canadian Provost Corps during World War II. Lance Corporal English was discharged on July 12, 1946. He was a member of Harry Brown V.C. Legion Branch 497 for 49 years. Lorne passed away on December 20, 2000. ENGLISH, Charles Angus Angus was born on December 22, 1888 in the Woolwich Township, ON. He joined the Royal Canadian Army on September 14, 1915 and served with the Royal Canadian Regiment 71st Battalion in France during World War I. Angus was killed in action in France in 1916 and is buried at the Canadian National Vimy memorial in France.
