145 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND FLETCHER, Murry A. Murry was born on September 14, 1941 in St Mary’s, ON. He joined the Royal Canadian Army on February 1, 1960 and got married the next day. He served with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for a year and a half. Due to an injury to his back received while jumping out of the back of a truck, Murry was discharged on September 10, 1965. He returned to St Mary’s and worked at the Great Star Flour Mill, Hammond Construction, Walsh Fuels and then 29 years at the St Mary’s Cement Plant. Murry has been a member of St Mary’s Legion Branch for 34 years. FORBES, James Floyd James was born in Stellarton, NS on May 14, 1924. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in Aril 1943 and served with the Lord Strathcona’s Horse, 4th Tank Regiment in Korea, Germany, Belgium and France during World War II and the Korean War. He was killed in action in 1953 at Camp Borden in a training accident. FLYNN, James J. James was born in Norris Arm, NL in 1920. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1941 and served with the 166th Newfoundland Regiment of the Royal Artillery during World War II. James was killed in action in 1943 in Tunisia and is buried in the Beja War Cemetery in Tunisia.
