185 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HEALEY, Robert J. Robert was born on January 10, 1925 in Maple, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on January 26, 1944 and served with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, 3rd Division, B Company in Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. He went to Germany to join the occupation force, the Highland Light Infantry of Canada, in September 1945 and came home in June 1946. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, and the 1939-45 War Medal. He was a member of Port Perry Legion Branch 419 for 62 years. Robert passed away on July 3, 2012. HEATHER, Harry George Harry was born in Southampton, England in 1884. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served during both World War I and World War II. Staff Sergeant Heather was wounded in during World War I. Between wars he served with the Militia, Toronto Regiment as a Signaller. Harry died while serving as an instructor at a training camp in Newmarket, ON in 1944. HEATHER, Harry Frederick Harry was born on March 18, 1912 in Toronto, ON. He served with the Militia in Toronto during the 1930s. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a fighter pilot with 14 Canadian Fighter Squadron in the Aleutians and later flew with No 58 Royal Air Force Coastal Command in Britain before being discharged on February 12, 1946. He was a member of Fort York Legion Branch 165 for 65 years. Harry passed away on December 31, 2008.
