Freedom is a blessing we must not take for granted. That is why this book, commemorating the lives and sacrifices of more than 400 veterans, is so important. I commend The Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Command for its dedication to preserving and promoting the history and stories of its membership for future generations. I want to thank the families who participated by sharing photos and stories for publication. Let us always remember with gratitude our veterans who helped to protect and defend the freedoms we enjoy today. Please accept my congratulations on the second edition of this vital resource.
