53 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BRYAN, Edwin William Edwin was born in Northgate, London, England on February 22, 1924. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on May 1, 1942 and served on HMCS La Malbaie in 1943, HMCS Le Pas in 1944 and HMCS Owen Sound in 1945. Edwin served in the North Atlantic and England during World War II. He was discharged on August 8, 1945 and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Atlantic Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the King George VI coronation Medal. He was a life member of Port Colborne and Humberstone Legion Branch 56 and was Honorary Secretary for 12 years and Sergeant at Army for 10 years. Edwin passed away on January 1, 1991. BURLEY, Harry A. Harry was born on March 24, 1923 in Bruce Mines, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1940 and served with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in England during World War II. He was discharged in 1946 and became an administration manager for a construction company in Sault Sainte Marie, ON. Harry passed away on October 1, 1988. BUCK, Brian E. Brian was born on July 8, 1951 in Paris, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on July 6, 1971 and served in the 1st Canadian Signal Regiment in Egypt. He was discharged on June 30, 1976 and returned home to Simcoe, ON where he married Kimberly Walters and changed his last name to Walters. He was a member of Major Walter Bernard Legion Branch 125 for 25 years and was also involved with the Simcoe Army Cadets until his death. Brian passed away on July 12, 2010.
