57 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND CADA, Alfred Lawrence Alfred was born on August 1, 1920 in Sheshegwaning, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on May 1, 1943 and served as a Private overseas during World War II. He had the mumps and broke his arm during his service. Alfred was discharged on October 1, 1945. After the war, he worked as a school bus driver, mail delivery and pulp cutting. He was married to Elizabeth Corbiere and had 6 children owned a house in Silver Water, ON. He had been a member of Gore Bay Legion Branch 514. Alfred died of choking on January 19, 1970. CADA, Joseph R. Joseph served during World War II. He was Alfred Lawrence’s brother. CADA, Arnold Angus Arnold was born on March 26, 1922 in Sheshegwaning, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on January 1, 1942 and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in England during World War II. He was discharged on March 3, 1946 and worked as a logger and skidder operator from 1967 to 1969. He was married to Georgina Neganiwina and had 12 children. Arnold had been a member of Gore Bay Legion Branch 514 for 50 years before he passed away on March 12, 2008.
