59 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND CADA, Micheal M. Micheal was born in Sheshegwaning, ON and was married to Elizabeth Sampson. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in 1916 and served as a Private in the 227th Battalion in France. Micheal was killed in action on September 30, 1918 in France. CADA, Paul Senior Paul Senior was born on May 15, 1869 in Sheshegwaning, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served as a rifleman with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, 227th Battalion during World War I. He was married to Rachael Sampson and had 7 children. Paul was a fiddle player, a pulp wood worker, and he was elected Councillor for Sheshegwaning First Nation from 1905-06 and 1908-09. Paul Senior passed away of natural causes at the age of 77 and is buried at the Sheshegwaning Anglican Cemetery. CADA, Paul Jr John Paul Jr was born on June 9, 1904 in Sheshegwaning, ON and was married to Agnes Sagon. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served for three months before he was discharged due to medical reasons. After his short time in the Army, Paul worked as a caretaker in the Gore Bay Public School. He lived in Gore Bay, ON for years before moving to Silver Water, ON. He was a member of Gore Bay Legion Branch 514. Paul Jr passed away on March 12, 1984 and is buried at Gordon Cemetery in Gore Bay, ON.
