He served in the Communications and Electronics Branch in Canada, Bermuda, the Middle East and Africa. He was discharged on September 5, 2005. He served 35 years in the Regular Force and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He has been the Yardarm Editor for the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA). Pat has been a member of The George Duff Memorial Legion Branch 516 for 5 years. COTTER, William A. William was born in New Perlican, NL on November 2, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on May 2, 1944.He served as a rifleman with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment in Canada, England, Holland, France, and Germany during World War II. He was wounded on February 27, 1945. He was discharged on November 6, 1945. He was a member of Talbot Trail Legion Branch 613. William passed away on June 8, 1987. COSBY, Lawrence E. Lawrence was born on June 25, 1913 in Wainfleet, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on July 29, 1942. He served with the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, 1st Survey Regiment in Canada, the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterranean, North Africa, and Europe during World War II. He was discharged on January 26, 1946 and was awarded the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He married Pauline Webben on September 29, 1946 and had one son. In civilian life, he worked for the Provincial/Consumer Gas as a licensed Gas Fitter. Lawrence passed away on May 19, 1981.
