127 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND DEGAGNE, James H. James was born on July 13, 1918 in Parkinson Township, ON. He enlisted in the Army on May 13, 1944. He served with the Army Service Corps as a signalman in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. He was discharged on July 18, 1946 and was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the France and Germany Star. After his discharge, he returned to Iron Bridge, where he worked as an auto mechanic, raised a family, built a cottage, and learned to fly his own floatplane. In 1983, he received the O.P.P. Commissioner Award for disarming a much younger man in a robbery attempt. James passed away on September 19, 1991. DENAULT, Danny D. Danny was born on May 30, 1969 in Sudbury, ON. He enlisted in the Army in 1989. He served in the Royal Canadian Airborne Regiment in Canada, Cyprus and Somalia. He was awarded the Peace Keeping Medal from Cyprus and the Somalia Campaign Medal. In civilian life, Dan is the General Manager of Fuller Industrial in Sudbury, ON. He and his wife Leeann have four children. DELANEY, Bernard P. Bernard was born on June 21, 1926 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on March 19, 1944. He was on naval transport and berthing duties during World War II. He was discharged in March 1946. Bernard has been a member of Bruce Mines Legion Branch 211 for 14 years.
