133 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND DODSWORTH, Harold W. Harold was born on April 23, 1898 in Bentinck Township, ON. He enlisted in the Army on December 28, 1915. He served with the 147th Grey Battalion, Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in England, Belgium, and France during World War I. He was discharged in April 1919. Harold received a crest from a military cap (his daughter received) for 4th CMRS. He was a member of Chesley Legion Branch 144 for over 20 years. Harold passed away on March 17, 1980. DOLLO, Frank P. Frank was born on September 26, 1922 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted in the Army on March 8, 1940. He served with the Irish Regiment of Canada in Italy, France, Holland, and Germany during World War II. He was discharged on September 6, 1946. Frank’s wife, Betty, and his two brothers, Joe and Pete, also served in World War II. Frank was a plasterer by trade in East York and had two sons and a daughter. At the age of 87, he enjoyed a very proud commemorative day on June 5, 2010 where he rode in an ACRC vintage motorcycle sidecar during the Highway of Heroes ride. He was a member of Bowmanville Legion Branch 178 for 21 years. Frank passed away on May 25, 2011. DOHERTY, Nelson Nelson was born on July 22, 1910 in St. Malachie, QC. He enlisted in the Army on August 5, 1942. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Sapper Nelson was discharged on March 1, 1946. Nelson passed away on May 14, 2004.
