141 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND DUGUAY, Hypolite Paul Paul was born in St. Godefroi, Gaspé on May 14, 1916. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and was a Forestier, a Grinder and worked in construction during World War II. He was discharged on November 9, 1945. Paul passed away on February 21, 1988. DUMMITT, Scott James Scott was born on March 17, 1955 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in June 1981. He spent ten years in the fleet as a Marine Engineer and served 15 years ashore as a Supply Technician. He also spent 15 years as a volunteer drummer with the Pipes and Drums of the Canadian Scottish Regiment, the Air Command Pipes & Drums and the Princess of Wales Regiment. During his career, he did volunteer positions as the Master Seaman and Below Mess secretary on HMCS Preserver and Provider, Ship’s newspaper editor and photographer on HMCS Preserver, Ship’s Welfare Committee, 75th Anniversary Committee and 75th Anniversary Year book project, Chairman of CFB Ottawa’s Christmas Toy Drive, and several years as a base United War canvasser at CFB Kingston. In 2006, Scott graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a Master’s Degree in the War Studies program. He was discharged in August 2006. DUMARESQ, Emile F. Emile was born in St. Isidore, NB on February 9, 1944. He enlisted in the Army on May 3, 1960. He served with the Alogonquin Regiment, A Company and attained the rank of Corporal. He was discharged on November 30, 1963 and went on to work for a local paper company. Emile has been a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 for 20 years.
