159 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND FORTIN, Paul E. Paul was born on August 28, 1928 in Mistassini, QC. He enlisted in the Army in 1951. He served with the Royal Canadian Infantry, 27th Brigade, Fusiliers Mont-Royal in Canada and Germany. He was discharged in 1953. Corporal Fortin has lived in Kapuskasing, ON. FRALEIGH, Harry G. Harry was born on May 30, 1898 in London, ON. He enlisted in the Army on July 24, 1916. He served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Canada, Britain and France during World War I. He served as a gunner. Harry was discharged on July 31, 1919. He was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal. In civilian life, he worked as an electrician for the railroad in London and Barrie, ON. He had four children. Harry passed away in May 1972. FOSTER, Norman Norman was born on January 10, 1921 in Queensville, ON. He enlisted in the Army on January 12, 1943. He served with the Canadian Armoured Corps before transferring to the Canadian Dental Corps. He saw action in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. He was discharged on March 26, 1946. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. After the war he resided in Newmarket, ON where he married and raised five children. Norman passed away on June 17, 2011.
