195 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND GRIFFIN, Geoffrey Cameron Geoffrey was born on March 19, 1893 in Woodstock, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. He saw action in France during World War I where he was wounded at the Battle of Langemark and sent home. Geoffrey married Kathleen Barolf on January 7, 1919 and lived in Winnipeg, MB. GRIFFIN, George Campbell George was born on April 29, 1895 in Guelph, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in France during World War I. He was a student in Surveying and Civil Engineering before enlisting and completed his degree after the war. GRIFFIN, George Alexander George was born on June 1, 1863 in Hamilton, ON. He enlisted in the Army in 1915. He served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Europe during World War I. Prior to enlisting; George was the manager of a book publishing company in Canada, then into book publishing in Mexico, Central America and South America, and later in Philadelphia, United States. After the war, he became a secretary for a light and power company in Mexico controlled by Mackenzie and Mann Interests. He lived in Guelph, ON for a number of years before moving to Oakville, where he lived until he passed away.
