67 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BRIDGEMAN, Ethel Maude Bernice Bernice was born on April 26, 1926 in Langton, Ontario. She enlisted in the Army on May 31, 1944. She was part of the Canadian Women’s Army Corps attached to the Canadian Army Show and performed in Belgium, Holland, and Germany during World War II. The group performed dance, theater, and music in support of allied troops and to boost morale. She was discharged on March 20, 1946. Bernice has been a member of Simcoe Legion Life 79 for 43 years. BROESKA, Raymond L. Raymond was born in St. Boniface, MB on July 4, 1933. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on March 3, 1952. He served in Canada, England and France during the Korean War. He was discharged on January 10, 1967. He was a member of Bruce Mines Legion Branch 211 for 26 years. Raymond passed away on January 7, 2012. BRISEBOIS, Leonard J. “Fuzz” Leonard was born on June 5, 1925 in Oshawa, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on November 15, 1944. He served with HMCS Cartier and HMCS Stormont on the High Seas during World War II. He was discharged on February 15, 1946. After returning home, he married and had three children. He was widowed and remarried. Leonard has been a member of Oshawa Legion Branch 43 for 60 years and of Sir Williams Stephenson Legion Branch 637 for 9 years.
