5 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT My Comrades all – a warm welcome to our third edition of our Military Service Recognition Book for Ontario Provincial Command, Royal Canadian Legion 2016. I personally want to express my sincerest thanks to all of you who contributed to making our first two editions of the Military Service Recognition Book a complete success. With the many submissions of your pictures, bios and stories of your “heroes” towards this great publication through your Legion Branches; well, again you exceeded our goals and expectations. You all have graciously filled the pages of our first two editions and now we look forward to embarking with our third publication. Our book of Remembrance honours not only those who have served both past and present but especially recognizes those who paid the supreme sacrifice in the many wars and conflicts abroad in foreign lands. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM Again, on behalf of Ontario Command I would like to personally thank our Chairman Comrade Ron Goebel, our submission coordinators, Comrades Carolyn McCaul and Mary Ann Goheen and our Command Staff who have all worked extremely hard on our Military Service Recognition Book to make it the success that it is today.
