101 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BROWN, John A. John was born in Dymond Township, New Liskeard, Ontario on May 5, 1924. He enlisted in the Air Force on November 22, 1942 and trained in Brantford, Ontario. He served with 409 Squadron in England, Netherlands, France, and Brussels, Belgium during World War II. He was discharged in April 1946. After his discharge, he returned to his hometown of New Liskeard, where he pioneered and built a cable TV system in his town and adjoining area. After his retirement he moved to North Bay, Ontario where he spent his later years. He was a member of New Liskeard Legion Branch 33 and Haileybury Legion Branch 54 for a total of over 50 years. John passed away on January 21, 2015. BRUCE, Thomas P. D. Thomas was born in Belleville, Ontario on September 29, 1982. He enlisted in the Army on February 28, 2002. He served with the Electrical Mechanical Engineers as a Vehicle Technician with 21 EW, 2 Svc BN, RCD, and CFJSR in Afghanistan, Roto 9, and Task Force 1-10. Thomas was discharged on March 3, 2012. Upon release he went back to school and became a technological education teacher in the public education grade school system. Thomas has been a member of Madoc Legion Branch 369 for three years. BRUBAKER, Lloyd D. Lloyd was born in Saskatchewan in 1922. He enlisted in the Army in February 1942 and served with the 18th Manitoba Dragoons in Canada, England, France, and Germany during World War II. Lloyd was discharged in April 1946. He was a member of Chesley Legion Branch 144. Lloyd passed away in January 2013.
