137 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND CLARKE, Robert G. Robert was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on March 1, 1955. He enlisted in the Navy on September 18, 1973. Able Seaman Clarke served onboard HMCS Annapolis 265. He served on peacekeeping missions with NATO. He served on the High Seas, in Canada, France, England, Scotland, Germany, Norway and Holland. He was discharged on October 19, 1975. CLEARY, E. Paul Paul was born in Toronto, Ontario on February 15, 1925. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served with the Tank Corps in Europe during World War II. He was discharged in 1946. Paul had three brothers and a sister also served. He has been a member of Port Perry Legion Branch 419, Scarborough Centennial Legion Branch 614, and Oshawa Legion Branch for 45 years. CLARKE, Roy Frederick Roy was born on May 14, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario. In September 1942, he enlisted in the RCAF and was selected for Air Crew as a WAG during World War II. He arrived overseas in 1943 to start training. In June 1944 he was posted to 419 Moose Squadron 6 Group Bomber Command, stationed at Middleton St. George, Yorkshire, flying in Lancaster Bombers. He was repatriated to Canada in October 1945 and was honourably discharged with the rank of Flying Officer. Roy resided in Toronto where he married and raised three children. He was employed by Ontario Hydro for forty years. He was a member of the Retired Wireless Air Gunners Association for many years and a member of the Wilson Legion Branch 527 for five years. Roy passed away on September 7, 2009.
