He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on December 13, 1943 and was a Sergeant Air Gunner in Canada during World War II. He was discharged in February 12, 1945. DREVER, Gerald G. “Gerry” Sergeant Gerald Drever C.D. was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on October 1, 1929. He enlisted in the Army on August 28, 1951. He served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and United Nations Emergency Force in Korea, Egypt and Germany. He was discharged on October 19, 1971. Upon returning to civilian life, Gerald joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and worked with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. Gerald passed away on June 13, 2009. DOWSON, Ernest Merlin Ernest was born in Port Perry, Ontario on March 22, 1913. He enlisted in the Canadian Army (Active) on July 21, 1942. He served in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe during World War II. Ernest was discharged on January 11, 1946. His medals and decorations include the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. He was a member of Port Perry Legion Branch 419. Ernest passed away on March 22, 1993.
