She enlisted in the Canadian Army Women’s Service Corps and served during World War II in Canada. At the time of her discharge she held the rank of Private. After her military service, Blanche married a farmer and raised two children. Blanche passed away on October 11, 1994 at the age of 71. AYRIS (TRILESKY), Rose “Lillian” Lillian was born in Starthroy, Ontario in January 1924. She enlisted in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWAC) on February 24, 1943 at London, Ontario and served until honourably discharged on February 1, 1944 at the rank of Private. While still serving, Lillian married Bruce Trilesky who was also a Veteran. Lillian passed away on December 17, 1998 at the age of 74. AYRIS, Herbert Alec Herbert was born in Old Ford just outside London, England on October 13, 1900. He enlisted in the Canadian Army at London, Ontario later than most to serve in World War II. He was employed in northern Ontario with the Veteran’s Guard. His medals include the 1939-45 Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. At the time of his discharge he held the rank of Corporal. Herbert passed away on November 29, 1967.
