141 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND FARAGHER, Arnold Bert Arnold was born on June 1, 1921 in New Liskeard, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on February 22, 1943. He served with the First Canadian Armoured Carrier in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. Arnold was discharged on February 27, 1946. He was awarded the Candain Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and France and Germany Star. He was a member of Legion Branch 386 for eighteen years. Arnold passed away on July 18, 2003. FAWN, Percy Percy was born outside of Orillia at Rama, First Nation on August 21, 1896. He enlisted in the Army on March 8, 1916 and was sent overseas. He served in England and France with both the 177th and 19th Battalions during World War I. At one point in his service he was in the same unit as his older brother Daniel. He was discharged on August 10, 1918. Percy returned home to Longford Mills (Rama) where he made a living as a lumberman. Percy passed away in 1973. FAWN, Daniel Daniel was born at Rama, First Nation, Ontario in 1891. He was the son of Charles Fawn and Rose Benson. He enlisted in the Army on April 26, 1916. He served in England and France with the 177th Overseas Battalion and also with the 19th Battalion during World War I. While overseas, he served with his younger brother Percy Fawn. Daniel married Elizabeth Jane Stinson and they had ten children.
