153 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND FULTON, Chesley E. Chesley was born in Portapique Mtn., Nova Scotia on September 5, 1926. He enlisted in the Army on January 12, 1945 during World War II and served as a gunner in Canada with the RCA (F Battery, A1, CATC) Artillery. After being discharged on October 29, 1945, he worked for several companies in St. Catharines, then started his own very successful business there – Fulton Manufacturing Ltd. in 1969. He retired in 1985 and moved to Huntsville. He has been a member of the Legion in Huntsville for approximately twenty years. GARDNER, Tony Tony was born in Euphrasia Township on October 14, 1920. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 with the 21st AA Regimental Unit and served in World War II. The east coast of Canada was a subject of enemy attack or sabotage, also many submarine attacks and sighting, so the troops were necessary to secure the Coastal Areas. Tony served at Halifax Harbour, Newfoundland-Gander-Labrador. He was discharged in 1945. He has been a member of Legion Branch 32 and 464 for a total of forty years. GAMNA, Louis J. “Lou” Lou was born on September 30, 1929 in Orillia, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Signal Corps on March 20, 1953 and spent thirteen years in the Army. Lou served in Germany, Korea and Canada. His service units included the Atomic, Biological and Chemical Defensive Warfare School, the St. John Ambulance Association Instruction of First Aid to the Injured and the Canadian Army Certificate of Military Qualification in Clerk Administrative Group 1, Junior Non Commissioned Officer and Clerk Administrative Group 2. Lou also was an instructor of Physical Fitness. He was a member of the Legion Orillia Branch 34 for 52 years.
