73 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BROWNIE, John John was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on January 26, 1885. He enlisted in the Army on November 10, 1914 with the 2nd Engineering Battalion (CEF). He served in France and Belgium during World War I and was discharged in May 1919. John passed away on June 26, 1941. BRYAN, John Edward John was born on July 10, 1905 in Montreal, Quebec. He enlisted in the Army in 1924. He served with the Three River Tank Corp in Canada and England during World War II. John and his three brothers, Kenneth, Hugh and Edward, would meet in London each Christmas to share time together for Christmas Day, no matter how far away they were stationed until D-Day. All four brothers served in the Army during World War II. He was discharged in May 1945. John was a member of Legion Branch 66 Montreal, Quebec for thirty years and passed away on September 16, 1975. BROWNIE, Peter Alexander Peter was born on June 18, 1923 in Montreal. He enlisted in the Navy on August 8, 1941 with the HMCS St. Laurent. He served in the North Atlantic during World War II and was discharged on October 15, 1945. He was a member of the Legion Branch 426. Peter passed away on August 10, 1969.
