71 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BLICK, Francis George George was born on March 1, 1890 in Wiltshire, England. He served with the Somerset Force for one year before immigrating to Canada and taking up residence in Glen Williams, Ontario. With the onset of World War I, he enlisted, serving with the 58th Bat C.E.F. between June 26, 1915 and March 31, 1919 in England and France. On his return to Canada, he and his wife Ellen had a family of five children, two of which subsequently enlisted for service during for World War II. He was a member of Georgetown Branch 120 and worked as a gardener/labourer until his death in Glen Williams in 1968. BOLDUC, Charles Graham Charles was born in Waterloo, Ontario on July 14, 1896 to George L. and Emma Louise (Zinkann) Bolduc. George and Emma had three children, Ethel May, Charles Graham, and Oscar Edward. Charles married Mabel Louisa (Heinrich) and prior to the war they had two boys, Milton George and Lincoln John. He joined the 108th Regiment on March 11, 1916. Discharged in 1919, Charles went back to his employer and continued his carpenter’s apprenticeship in the furniture factory. Charles and Mabel had three more children, Harry, Pearl Ruth and Clifford. He was a 24-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Waterloo Branch 530. Charles passed away on April 18, 1978. BLICK, James Charles James was born on February 12, 1920 in Glen Williams, Ontario. He joined the Lorne Scots on July 26, 1940 and enlisted for overseas service on April 26, 1941. He served in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe until his discharge on August 31, 1945. He returned to Glen Williams. He did not marry and remained busy operating a farm, while working at a local mill. He was an avid member of Georgetown Royal Canadian Legion Branch 120 until his untimely death in 1976.
