69 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BREBNER, Percy Alexander Percy was born on June 20, 1922 on a farm in Bosanquet Township near Thedford, Ontario. In 1939, at a young age, he enlisted and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. When Percy was discharged in 1945, he married Joan Anderton they raised eight children. Percy bought a farm in Middlesex County and became a dairy farmer and crops. He was also a counselor for the West Williams Township. Percy passed away on October 15, 1979. BREMNER, Frank Cecil Frank was born on December 1, 1921 in Toronto, Ontario. He was the younger brother of David Bremner who had died in 1941 in a training accident in Wales. Frank was previously employed as a shell packer at Ingersoll. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 14, 1940. Frank served in Europe, Middle East and Yugoslavia during World War II. During air operations over Yugoslavia with 73 Squadron RAF, his spitfire was shot down by German artillery fire and crashed. Frank was killed in action on June 26, 1944. BREMNER, David Alexander David was born on December 26, 1919 in Orillia, Ontario. He was living in Tillsonburg when he enlisted into the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 20, 1940. While training with 131 Squadron, RAF Tryddyn inWales, the engine failed and his trainer crashed, killing him on October 23, 1941 inWrexham, NorthWales. He was 22 years old.
