1 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND I offer my warm congratulations to the Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion on the release of the eighth edition of the Military Service Recognition Book. If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it is the power of service. Lives have been changed by generous and kind-hearted people making conscious decisions to aid their communities in this time of need. All throughout, the Canadian Armed Forces have continued to be a source of inspiration and an example of how dedication to the wellbeing of others can pull a nation out of its darkest moments. Though the challenges facing our recovery may be new, the steadfast work of these individuals continues to be a reassuring comfort at our back as we work towards a stronger, more resilient society. The stories in this volume speak to both the extent and importance of these efforts.
