53 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BEAN, Robert Arthur “Bob” Bob was born in 1925 in Brampton, Ontario. In 1941, he served as a Reservist with the Lorne Scots and The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment. He enlisted with the Canadian Army on January 24, 1944 and completed his mortar training inAugust 1944. Bob served overseas in the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Central MediterraneanArea being discharged onAugust 9, 1946. After the war, he returned to Brampton and worked as a rivetter at Victory Aircraft. He married Helen Elizabeth Asquith and they had two children, Bradley and Beverly. Bob was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Major Wm Dwight Sharpe Branch 15. Bob passed away on May 11, 1995 and is buried at Meadowvale Cemetery. BEAN, William Stephen “Bill” William was born in 1971 in Brampton, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army in October 1988 and joined the Army Lorne Scots as a Reservist, as an Infantryman and is still currently serving. He has held the following positions: Section Commander, PlatoonWarrant Officer, Quartermaster, and President of the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess. Sergeant William Bean received his second Clasp to his Canadian Forces’ Decoration in 2020. In civilian life, William works as a technician/trainer for Bell Technical Solutions. BEAN, Tracy Lynn Tracy was born in 1969 in Burlington, Ontario. In May 1992, she joined the Lorne Scots as a Reservist. She received the Chief of Defence Staff Commendation for chasing down a bank robber in Milton, Ontario. Tracy was discharged from the Canadian Forces in December 2003 and is currently a member of the Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police.
