77 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND BOYCE, Barry Alexander Barry was born in Ottawa, Ontario on December 22, 1942. He enlisted in the Army on August 2, 1962 and served with the Canadian Intelligence Corps. He was promoted to Corporal upon arrival in Cyprus. He completed a six-month tour as a United Nations Peacekeeper between April 22 and October 21, 1964. He returned to Civilian Life after his release on December 17, 1965. He then became a member of the Ontario Provincial Police on December 2, 1966 until his retirement on December 29, 1994. Barry is a 54-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 in Perth, Ontario where he has been residing since May 22, 1966. BRADLEY, George Henry Private George Bradley was born on October 16, 1882 in Cheshire, England. He enlisted in the CanadianArmy onAugust 16, 1915 leaving his job as a stone mason in Preston, South Cambridge, Ontario. He sailed for Britain on March 29, 1916 on the RMS Empress of Britain. While serving with the 54th Canadian Infantry Battalion on Somme, he was killed by a high explosive shell while making soup. There was nothing left to bury. George served in Canada, United Kingdom, and France during World War I. He was 34 years old, son of Elizabeth and Henry Bradley. He bequeathed his worldly goods to his sister, Alice Knack. His name appears on the Vimy Memorial. BRABANT, Michel Guy Michel was born on August 29, 1963 in Sudbury, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on October 19, 1982 and served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons in Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo, Cyprus and Canada. Michel served 24 years in the Armor Corps and retired as a Sergeant Major, being discharged on August 10, 2007. He is a sixyear member of The Royal Canadian Legion Onaping Branch 503.
