183 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND GROVES, Douglas Douglas was the son of John and Annie (Currie) who ran the Glamis garage in Glamis. He attended USS #16 in Glamis. After serving in the Army during World War II, he worked in the Niagara Falls area. GUZIAK, Michael Michael was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 1, 1924. He enlisted in the Army on May 5, 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps at Camp Borden during World War II. He was a member of the Military Band as a cornet player. He received two service medals. Michael was discharged onApril 22, 1946. He was a LCBO store manager and has always lived in Toronto. He was a fiftyyear member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 286. Michael passed away on March 30, 2011. GUMMER, Donald G. Donald was born in May 1924 in Cobourg, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and served in Canada and in the Bahamas. He was discharged in 1945. Donald was a member of Cobourg Legion Branch 133 for 61 years before he passed away on December 2, 2007.
