1 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND I wholeheartedly commend the Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion on the release of this ninth edition of the Military Service Recognition Book. As we slowly return to the new normal that our brave frontline workers have fought to achieve, one lesson I hope we carry from the last two years is a respect and appreciation for the service of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Through uncertain times, the CAF was a reliable source of security in an uncertain and ever-changing environment. As a country constantly working towards a stronger, more resilient society, the tireless commitment of our brave men and women in uniform sets an example of what can be achieved when we look outwards with courage and compassion. The stories of the individuals in this book are stories of bravery, honour, and an unwavering dedication that I hope fills those of us privileged to read and reflect on these stories with deep gratitude and pride.
