On June 26, 1812, he joined the First Regiment of the Durham Militia and served as a LieutenantColonel in the War of 1812. His father, Robert Baldwin, was in charge of the Regiment. BALL, Frank F. Frank was born on May 20, 1922, in Colborne, Ontario. During World War II, he joined the 3rd Light Anti-aircraft and served in Canada, Holland, England, Germany and Belgium as a Gunner and Dispatcher. After the war, he worked for General Motors of Canada until his retirement. Frank was a member of Capt. Charles Rutherford V.C. Legion Branch 187 before he passed away on September 5, 1996. BALINSON, Alexander “Alex” Alex was born in Hamilton, Ontario on April 9, 1918. He joined the Air Force on June 26, 1940 and served with 148 Squadron RAF in Egypt, Germany and Malta. He was killed in action on April 25, 1942.
