Garry Pond
Immediate Past President Ontario Provincial Command
Comrade Garry was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland.
- Leadership has always been a constant in Garry's personal and professional life. It was central to his role as a Master Warrant Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, where he served for over 23 years.
- Retired from the Regular Force, Garry kept his military relationships strong by consulting for Department of National Defense in Ottawa for a further 23 years. Garry celebrated his retirement in October 2018.
- A Legion member for over 35 years, Garry has energetically served as Branch President, Zone and District Commander, and is currently Chair of Provincial Property Committee and Chair of the Homeless Veterans Program. Comrade Garry's current Legion role is Immediate Past President of Ontario Command and he is a member of the Dominion Command Membership committee and Dominion Command Centenary Committee.
- Garry is supported at home and on the road by his wife, Linda - who is Garry's biggest fan. Garry and Linda have a daughter Rhonda and two wonderful grandchildren. They all make their homes in Eastern Ontario.
